Well-known actress Madhuri Dixit has invested in Swiggy, joining Amitabh Bachchan, who made his investment in August.
Swiggy is getting ready for an IPO and hopes to raise $1.4 billion, which is about ₹11,664 crore.
At first, Swiggy wanted to raise ₹3,750 crore (around $450 million), but now they’ve increased their goal to ₹5,000 crore (about $600 million).
This means they need an extra ₹1,250 crore.
With these new plans, they expect to raise around $1.4 billion, which is more than they thought they would get.
Financially, Swiggy did well in 2024. They reported a 36% increase in revenue compared to last year, reaching ₹11,247 crore.
They also managed to cut their losses by 44%, going from ₹4,179 crore down to ₹2,350 crore by spending better.
